MEET STEPHANIE HUNT
Founder, practitioner and executive advisor.
Stephanie founded Hunt Strategic Solutions to bring practitioner-led, executive-level preparedness and advisory support to organizations navigating complex risks, operational challenges and consequential decisions.
Her work reflects a career spent bridging operational reality with executive leadership—helping clients move from discussion and planning to decisions, capability and sustained action.

Stephanie Hunt brings more than 25 years of experience across emergency management, public safety, aviation, federal disaster response, crisis management and executive leadership.
Her career has included local and regional emergency management in the National Capital Region, international crisis-management training with the U.S. Department of State, service as a FEMA Type 1 Planning Section Chief, leadership of the emergency management and preparedness program supporting Washington Dulles International and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airports, and executive roles overseeing preparedness, resilience, project management and corporate strategy for a national consulting firm.
Across that work, Stephanie has operated at both the incident and executive levels—helping organizations prepare for complex events, make decisions under pressure, strengthen organizational capability and turn lessons into sustained improvement. She has designed, directed, facilitated or evaluated more than 150 domestic and international exercises and delivered more than 1,000 hours of emergency and crisis-management instruction.

Hunt Strategic Solutions was founded in 2024 after more than two decades of work inside emergency management, public safety, aviation, consulting and organizational leadership.
The firm was built around a simple belief: organizations deserve advisory support that is both strategically sophisticated and operationally practical.
Too often, preparedness and resilience work produces plans, reports or recommendations that are technically sound but difficult to implement. HSS was created to work differently—bringing experienced practitioners and trusted advisors together with clients to understand the real operating environment, identify what matters most and develop solutions that people can actually use.
